Terms of Use

These Terms govern the use of the Pampinus mobile application (the "App"), developed by Manuel Ortega ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Age requirement: Pampinus is about wine and alcoholic beverages. You may only use the App if you are at least 18 years old. The App asks for your age when you first open it and blocks access for anyone who declares to be under age.

1. Licence to Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the App on your devices, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the Apple App Store and Google Play.

2. Premium Subscription

The App is free with limits. Pampinus Premium unlocks features such as unlimited cellar, unlimited AI sommelier, restaurant wine list scanner, data export, all educational levels and tasting games.
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: Monthly ($4.99) or Annual ($39.99), with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. Prices may vary by country and are always shown before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple or Google account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; Premium access continues until the end of the already-paid period.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their policies. We do not process payments or refunds directly.

3. Gift Codes

We may issue codes that grant temporary Premium access. Each code is single-use, has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may expire. A user may only redeem one code.

4. Acceptable Use

By using the App you agree not to:

Use it for illegal purposes or to promote irresponsible alcohol consumption.
Attempt to access systems or data that do not belong to you.
Scrape data in bulk, reverse-engineer the App, or resell its content.
Upload offensive or illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights.

5. Your Content

Your notes, photos and data are yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service (for example, to sync or display them to you). You can delete them at any time.

Community wine catalogue: when you use the label scanner, the photo you take is sent to external wine-recognition services (see our Privacy Policy) to identify the wine, and may contribute to Pampinus's community wine catalogue. Before that photo becomes visible to other users, a Pampinus administrator manually reviews and approves it. You grant us a licence to store, compress and display that photo for this purpose. If you do not want your scan photos to be used in this way, you can search for wines manually within the App instead of scanning labels.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, brand and educational texts generated for it are our property or that of our licensors. You acquire no rights over them beyond the use permitted by these Terms.

7. Wine Information and Responsible Consumption

Pampinus content is informational and educational. It is not professional, medical or nutritional advice, and may contain inaccuracies. Pampinus promotes responsible and moderate wine consumption and never encourages excessive drinking. If you think you have a problem with alcohol, please consult a health professional.

8. Warranties and Liability

The App is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect damages or data loss arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that the law grants you as a consumer.

9. Termination

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if you breach these Terms. Subscription cancellation is governed by section 2.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will indicate the date of the latest update above and, if the change is significant, notify you within the App.
